Barnes Chooses... Print E-mail

Today at 4 PM, Harrison Barnes made his decision. Before we get to his decision, lets talk a little about the 6'8 stud. In college, Barnes could play either the 2 or the 3 but will most likely see more of his time at the 3 due to his large frame. There's really only 1 flaw I see in him and that is his weight. It isn't a glaring weakness but at 6'8 and only weighing 210, you would love to him him get up to 230 or 235. Other than that, Barnes can really do everything. He can knock down the 3 with ease, can finish in the lane with contact, and even pull up for a mid range jumper. Even though his game isn't overly flashy, his production is unmatchable. Last season, Barnes averaged 19.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

Today, Harrison Barnes picked UNC. Carolina just got themselves an all american caliber player. His 84 and a half in wingspan makes him a pest on D. The huge wing span makes it so hard for people to get around him and if you try to go up against him in the lane and throw up a floater within his reach, he'll probably block it. UNC got a guy that can finish with either hand and he fits in very, very well with the rest of their class, but I'm pretty sure he fits in with every class. With Barnes, Marshall, and Bullock, UNC has a team that will compete for a title in the future. Amazing get by the heels.
