Style of play: Pau Gasol Notes: Ed has basketball in his blood as his father, Terry Davis, played in the NBA. Last season Davis was a solid role player off the bench (as a freshman) but now, with Danny Green, Tyler Hansbrough, Ty Lawson, and Wayne Ellington gone and now in the NBA, Ed will be given the opportunity to start and be the star on the team. The Tar Heels will need him to do that, but he has potential to be a great NBA player. He reminds me of Pau Gasol in that he is very athletic, plays hard, great offensive player, and an average defensive player, but I still feel that Ed could improve his tenacity a bit, as well as strength. --Scouting-- Positives: Athletic... In great shape... Active... Runs the floor well... Great rebounder... Talented... Good shot blocker... Nice offensive skill set... Plays hard... Productive... Good in the post.
